Overview
A cosy self-catering pod tucked into a secluded corner of a working farm at the foot of the South Downs. Skylark is designed for an easy escape into the landscape, with a fully equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, double bed and sofa bed, plus its own outdoor space overlooking the rolling Downs. Walk straight from the pod onto the South Downs Way, spend the day crossing the chalk hills, then return for a firepit, quiet countryside and a sky that grows darker as the evening settles over the farm.

Stargazing guide
Skylark has a particularly strong night-sky setting. The pod sits within the South Downs National Park and its Dark Sky Reserve, in a secluded area of the working farm with views across the surrounding Downs. Use the firepit for stargazing as the lighting around the accommodation is kept to a minimum, with solar lighting on paths and sensor lighting limited to the car park. The surrounding farmland and rolling chalk landscape provide a wide, open setting after dark. Other accommodation is nearby, so this is not a completely isolated sky-watching hideaway, but the deliberate low-light approach makes darkness a genuine part of the experience.
