A cosy, characterful shepherd's hut tucked into its own private garden at Stackstead Farm near Ingleton, with open farmland views towards the Yorkshire Dales. Built with a solid oak chassis and Siberian larch cladding, the hut combines a traditional countryside feel with an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, underfloor heating and a log burner. By day, it makes an excellent base for exploring Ingleborough, the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the wider Dales; by night, its private garden provides a peaceful place to step outside and enjoy the rural landscape beneath the stars.

Stargazing guide
Set in its own private garden with open farmland views, the hut offers a much more intimate night-time setting than the wider Stackstead Farm site. The property is around a mile from Ingleton, so it should not be presented as a truly remote dark-sky retreat, but its rural position on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales gives it good stargazing potential. On clear nights, the open countryside and views towards the surrounding Dales provide a rewarding setting for stepping outside after dark. Yorkshire Dales National Park is close by and offers some of the darkest skies in the region.
