Overview
Lady Betty is a secluded woodland shepherd's hut on Ash Farm, a 120-acre family-run deer farm in the Dorset countryside near Stourpaine. Named after Adam's eccentric great aunt who loved a good time, she's tucked into her own private patch of woodland with spectacular countryside views and a real sense of getting away from it all. Open to the rafters, she's full of light and space, yet fully insulated and warm, with electric heating and a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings by a real fire. Inside you'll find a well-equipped little kitchen with a Nespresso machine, vintage china and a proper plumbed bathroom with a piping hot shower. Outside in the trees, a firepit BBQ waits to be lit, with blankets to wrap up in and a romantic wood-fired Swedish bath to soak in.

Lady Betty sits within the Cranborne Chase International Dark Sky Reserve, so on a clear night the stars here are exceptional. Her woodland setting makes for an intimate, sheltered kind of stargazing: light the firepit, let it burn down to protect your night vision, then look up through the gaps in the canopy. Find an open clearing and the sky opens right up. Wrap up in the blankets, sink into the Swedish bath, and let your eyes adjust for twenty minutes to see the Milky Way emerge in summer and Orion blaze in winter.
